The economic growth for both United Arab
Emirates and Saudi Arabia are doing very good. But in 2009 there was a decrease
in their GPD in KSA and UAE. KSA GPD growth fell from 4.2 to 0.1, in UAE
decrease from 3.3 to -1.6 in 2009. However both countries recover in 2010 and
both increases in 2011.Comparing the UAE to KSA GDP per cap of the UAE is much
better than KSA. That means that the standard of living of the United Arab Emirates
is better than Saudi Arabia.

Consumer prices (CPI) in United Arab
Emirates are increasing very slowly in 2008 to 2011 about 114 to 116
respectively. This is good thing because that means when the CPI increases it
means that the currency of the country is going down. When inflation increases
the Consumer prices goes up in United Arab Emirates in 2008 the inflation was
very high about 12.30% because of the financial crisis but in 2009 it decrease
dramatically to about 1.56% but the CPI stay the same. The consumer prices
(CPI) in Saudi Arabia is increasing from 2007 to 2011 about 106 to 138
respectively. The inflation in United Arab Emirates is lower than in Saudi
Arabia but not much; however the Consumer price in Saudi Arabia is much higher than
UAE comparing to inflation rates between the two countries.

The current unemployment rate for Saudi Arabia is 10.5% one of the
highest in the gulf. The total labor force in Saudi Arabia is 9,558,785 about 34% of the population
and also about 80% of the labor force populations are non-national. That is a
huge number because the population of the Saudi Arabia is about 28 million and
from that about 5 million is non-national. Saudi Arabia is highest country in
the gulf with jobless locals. There are some estimates and studies saying
that unemployment rate 10.5% are not the real percentage the real percentage in
Saudi Arabia is about 25%.. In Recent news the Saudi Arabia government is going
to create 1.12 million jobs for the locals by the end of 2014 and they will
reduce number of expatriate employees that will help in decreasing the
unemployment rate. In United Arab Emirates the unemployment

In 2009, there is not big difference
between the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia however in the 2010 the Saudi
Arabia increase dramatically and the reason of the oil production you can see
on the table above that Saudi Arabia is number one in oil production to world
according to CIA World Factbook. However United Arab Emirates decrease in 2010.
In 2011 Saudi Arabia again increase again. The same year United also increase
dramatically because of united Arab increases their oil exports. These numbers
says both United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are doing very good in their export.
Moreover both countries depends on oil productions especially Saudi Arabia but
United Arab Emirates trying to depends on other thing like manufacturing.
